Our coin boxes are configured to accept only $1.00 Canadian coins (Loonies). There are 2 green lights at the top of the front face of each coin box. The left light is always on and indicates there is power to the coin box. When a Loonie is inserted into the coin box, the second (right) green light illuminates. This indicates that the keyboard and mouse are active and ready for use. Each Loonie gives 10 minutes of computer time. When the time expires, the right light turns off and the keyboard and mouse become non-responsive. When this happens, windows that are open on the screen stay open. The users work is not lost. Simply, insert another Loonie, which will re-activate the keyboard and mouse, and continue working.
